For the last year or more I've been fighting constant fatigue, lethargy, depression, general apathy, and a lack of focus. While getting older and my greater work responsibilities have certainly played a role, they didn't explain everything. Late this summer, I finally clued in to a possible cause and finally a few weeks ago confirmed it after a sleep study: I have serious case of obstructive sleep apnea. I won't get into the medical description for those who don't know (Google is a thing if you want to find out) but the upshot is that I'm suffering from severe sleep deprivation, basically only getting the equivalent of 1 to 2 hours of good sleep per night. Every night. For over a year. Fortunately now that it's officially diagnosed, I'm getting something done about it.

For those I haven't told already, about this time last year I received a fairly significant promotion in my day job, which, combined with several major projects my employers are involved in, seriously cut into my time and energy, aside from the other things I do. So the rendering/storytelling had to be sacrificed at the cursed alter of there only being 24 hours in a day, at some point I have to sleep, and I ain't getting any younger. Now that things have settled more into a groove, I can slowly start to up production once more.
